ESN goes Oktoberfest

Have you always wanted to visit Munich and the biggest beer festival in the world? This is your chance! Let’s party like Germans, enjoy Bavarian culture and taste amazing beer whilst wearing proper lederhosen or dirndl. Don’t miss it!

Join us for our one-day trip to Munich and let’s explore Oktoberfest as well as the beautiful city of Munich together.

When?

Saturday, 5th of October

We will depart from Innsbruck at 06:30 a.m. (meet-up at 06:10 a.m.) and will arrive in Munich at around 09:00 a.m.

We will return to Innsbruck at 07:30 p.m. The meeting places for arrival and departure as well as the Munich tour will be announced soon.


Programme:

After arriving at Theresienwiese, we gather to stand in line to enter the tents. We don’t have reservations so we have to be there as early as possible. After entering the tents, the madness begins! We will drink, dance, sing and have an unforgettable time together. You can also try out a few rollercoasters or simply wander around the festival and try typical Bavarian dishes, for example white sausages with mustard.

In the afternoon, you have the chance to take part in a guided walk through the old town. Of course, you are free to choose whether you want to explore Munich or stay at Oktoberfest. At 07:30 p.m., we will depart from Munich and arrive back in Innsbruck at around 10:00 p.m.

You don’t have a dirndl or lederhosen yet? No problem – you can buy them in Innsbruck (for example at Zillertaler Trachtenwelt) or just wear normal clothes. A fun alternative for guys: there are bathing trunks which look exactly like lederhosen.
