Dive into essential avalanche safety skills with this interactive workshop designed for outdoor enthusiasts! Perfect for anyone exploring avalanche-prone areas, the course offers a balanced mix of theory and practice in real mountain conditions. 

What’s Included:

  • Avalanche Knowledge: Core principles of avalanche science. 
    Risk Assessment: Techniques to evaluate avalanche risks in varied terrains. 
    Rescue and Search: Hands-on training in finding and rescuing avalanche victims. 
    Small Group Setting: Limited to 8 participants per group for effective learning. 

​Requirements:

  • Skill Level: Prior experience on black slopes, with secure and controlled turns. 
    Equipment Check: Your gear will be inspected before the course. Missing or inadequate equipment may lead to exclusion without a refund, and the instructor may exclude participants if their skills do not meet the course level. 

​Additional Information:  

  • Cost: 50€ Course and 15€ Membership for the insurance 
  • Equipment: Avalanche equipment (transceiver, probe, shovel) is not included. Rental options are available at a discount for members at Alpenverein, Die Börse Innsbruck, or consider borrowing from friends. Please check the battery and how to dress the equipment before. 
  • Group Size: Minimum 5 participants per group; additional groups will be arranged if needed. 
  • Lift Ticket: We are in cooperation with Axamer Lizum Cable Cars, maybe we can generate also a free lift ticket for you upfront the course. You will be informed soon via this website or the following Whats app group.
